We’re looking for creative, out-going college and university students for our Heritage Information Centre this summer.
You’ll welcome thousands of visitors from around the world to the Information Centre and Saint John, New Brunswick's only Cathedral -- a national treasure listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places. You’ll enjoy introducing visitors to the importance of the Cathedral and the area's culture and heritage.
You’ll also be an important part of our day-to-day operations. So being a great writer/communicator and having an interest in the fields of architecture, urban renewal, arts, culture, history or community relations would make you a GREAT candidate. Even better if you are detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a talent for planning events.
Bilingualism would be a plus but is not necessary.
Here are some “must have” skills:
· Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
· Knowledge and experience with social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
· Professional demeanor and work ethic
· Curiosity and desire to learn
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
These positions are available late May/early June and are summer season, 35-hours per week opportunities. The Cathedral Heritage Foundation is an equal opportunity employer.
If this sounds like you, we'd LOVE to hear from you! To apply, send a cover letter and your resume via email to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than Friday, April 20, 2018. We'll contact qualified students to schedule interviews.
We need your help.
We're raising money to repair the ceiling of Saint John's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Every dollar counts when it comes to preserving one of New Brunswick's most important heritage buildings. It's a National Treasure! Please consider donating today.
